The maple leaf is a part of the Canadian culture to the same degree that the eagle symbolizes America. In fact, this logo is so embedded in Canadian culture that the nation’s flag bears a giant red leaf at the center of its design. The leaf has been featured on numerous government seals and coins, and is now available on the 2015 25 Gram Gold Canadian MapleGrams.

Coin Highlights:

  • Contains 25 grams of .9999 pure gold.
  • Minted at the Royal Canadian Mint in Canada.
  • Available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
  • Features the popular Maple Leaf design.
  • Easily divisible coin bars allow you to divide metal without losing value.
  • Ships in an assay.

Gold Canadian MapleGrams are one of the most unique gold bullion offerings available today. The 2015 25 Gram Gold Canadian MapleGram package is actually 25 separate 1-gram coins sold together in a large assay card. The coins can be purchased and stored indefinitely in their combined packaging, or broken out into the smaller 1 gram sizes for future distribution by investors.

The coins in the 2015 25 Gram Gold Canadian MapleGrams are the 1-gram variants of the Gold Canadian Maple Leaf coin. On one side of the coin is the iconic image of the maple leaf, while the reverse side bears the image of England’s Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile format.

Each 2015 Gold Maple Leaf coin in the 25 Gram MapleGram features the maple leaf design on the reverse side of the coin. Engravings on this side include “CANADA,” the weight and metal content of the coin, as well as the purity. The latter is inscribed twice, once on each side of the maple leaf.

On the obverse side of the coin is Susanna Blunt’s portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Above her head is the engraving “Elizabeth II,” while the face value and year of minting are included along the bottom.

The Royal Canadian Mint produces all circulation and commemorative coins approved by the Canadian government. The facility was originally opened in Ottawa in 1908. Today the mint operates from that original facility, as well as a secondary facility in Winnipeg.
