Each 2017 3 oz 35th Anniversary Silver Mexican Libertad Bar in this product listing is available inside of a sealed plastic capsule. The individual bars are set within a wooden display box so you can mark the 35th anniversary of the Silver Libertad for years to come. An individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included as well.
The obverse of the 35th Anniversary Silver Mexican Libertad Bar includes a 1 oz silver coin from the 2017 Libertad release. The coin’s obverse field captures Winged Victory as featured in the center of Mexico City, where her depiction was erected in 1921 to mark the 100th anniversary of the nation’s independence.
On the obverse of the 2 oz silver bar you’ll find the background imagery of the Silver Libertad coin continued across the bar. The mountains of Popocatepetl and Izztacihuatl continue to expose a more vivid Mexican desert scene across the bar.
The reverse of the Silver Mexican Libertad coin includes the coat of arms for Mexico, which depicts a bald eagle set on the branch of a cactus as it does battle with a serpent. The 10 historic versions of the coat of arms are featured around the image of the modern design, and the bar’s reverse side includes 35th anniversary engravings that include the year of release, “1982,” and the 35th anniversary year of “2017.”
Silver Mexican Libertad coins are struck by the Mexican Mint under the authority of Banco de Mexico, but these bar and coin sets are not an official product of the mint itself.
