The Ozark National Scenic Riverways is an 80,000 acre park located in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. The park protects the Current and Jacks Forks rivers in the area. It not only provides protection to the abundant plant and animals species in the area, but also provides clean recreational options for Americans, of which canoeing the rivers is the most popular past time.
America the Beautiful coins are part of a 56-coin program designed to represent the national historical parks, national forests, and historical monuments of the United States. This includes representative sites from all 50 states, the five overseas territories of the United States, and the District of Columbia.
All 2017 5 oz ATB Silver Ozark National Scenic Riverways Coin in this Silver.com product listing is in BU condition. Coins in this condition show no signs of wear and tear, though you may notice minor flaws ranging from breaks in the luster and spotted surfaces to the presence of contact marks from the production process at the mint.
On the reverse of the 2017 5 oz ATB Silver Ozark National Scenic Riverways Coin is the image of a small creek as it rolls toward a fork in the land in front of it, with a modest cabin perched at the fork of the two rivers. Engravings identify the name of the park, the state of issue, and the year of issue for the coin.
The obverse of all ATB Silver Coins includes the left-profile portrait of President George Washington. The first elected leader of the United States, Washington’s portrait landed on the US quarter in 1932 on the 200th anniversary of his birth, and remains there to this day. It was created by John Flanagan for the quarter in 1932.
