David Frost Touts Silver.com

David Frost was born in Cape Town, South Africa and showed the makings of an accomplished pro golfer and successful entrepreneur from an early age. The seeds of Frost’s interest in professional golf were sown during his first exposure to the sport, a stint as a caddy for his father. The young South African would later debut as a pro golfer in 1981, and within just a few years, Frost would go on to win ten PGA Tour tournaments, including the 1989 NEC World Series of Golf.

With a record of 24 professional wins to his credit, Frost was a dominant player during the course of his storied career. Indeed, for nearly a decade, David Frost was a top 25 ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking. He also holds the record for fewest putts over four rounds to this day, which he achieved during the 2005 MCI Heritage Classic while masterfully managing a mere 92 putts (one-putting within his first 11 greens).

Ever the contender, Frost still actively and successfully competes in golf tournaments and has just recently won the 2010 3M Championship, a Minnesotan-based Champions Tour golf tournament.

Moreover, in addition to having a decorated career in golf under his belt, Frost owns a vineyard. His passion for wine can also be attributed to his father, whose vineyard was the setting for many of Frost’s earliest experiences with a golf club. Naturally, every David Frost vintage is named after a fellow professional golfer.
