Proof Platinum American Eagles are available each year from the United States Mint dating back to 1997 when the series was launched. However, only the 1 oz coin has been issued in each of those years. The 1/10 oz Proof Platinum Eagles were only available from 1997 to 2008. Beginning in 2009, all fractional-ounce coins in this series were suspended and have not returned since.

All of the 1/10 oz Proof Platinum American Eagles in this product listing come with a PF70 certification from the NGC. Coins in this condition have full, original mint luster and no detracting flaws of any kind on the designs or surface area. Included with these coins are UCAM labels. This means the coins are ultra-cameo specimens with strong, frosted designs overlaying deeply-mirrored, clear background fields.

This is a random year and varied label listing. Silver.com selects your coins at random when your payment is processed. We cannot guarantee a specific date mark or accompanying design when you purchase one of these coins. When you buy multiples, we likewise cannot ensure you receive several different designs and date marks. It is possible for these coins to have additional labels like Early Release or First Day of issue, but these are not guaranteed.

The obverse side of 1/10 oz Proof Platinum American Eagle coins comes with the image of the Statue of Liberty. Created by John Mercanti in 1997, this front-facing depiction captures the face of Liberty gazing into the future.

On the reverse of 1/10 oz Proof Platinum Eagles, you will find varying designs. Most of the 1/10 oz Proof Platinum Eagles feature an image of the American bald eagle in flight over the nation or a region of the country. The 1997 coin and the coins from the 1998-2002 Vistas of Liberty design series all feature eagles in flight.
