While its primary series is the Gold Kangaroo, there are other options that include the Gold Koala coins available in a variety of sizes as proof collectible coins. The Gold Koala, like the Kangaroo and Kookaburra, focuses on a native Australian species. Now, 1/4 oz Gold Australian Koala Coins are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Gold Australian Koala coins are available with new designs on the reverse side with each year of issue. The koala is an arboreal species of marsupial native to the Australian continent. The koalas range in weight from 9 lbs to 33 lbs and have color differentiation that includes silver grey to chocolate brown. Koalas are typically found along the eastern and southern regions of the mainland.

The koalas typically inhabit open woodlands in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. It has been noticed in nature that koalas in northern reaches are often smaller and lighter in color than counterparts that live farther south on the mainland.

On the reverse of 1/4 oz Gold Australian Koala Coins is the koala. The marsupial species is featured on this side of the coins in varying poses with each passing year. Inscriptions on this side of the coins include “Australian Koala” along with the date mark, weight, purity, and metal content of the coins.

The obverse of 1/4 oz Gold Australian Koala Coins features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. On this side of the coins, Her Majesty is depicted in one of two modern reliefs. The Ian Rank-Broadley design was used on Australian coins from 1999 to 2018 and captures the Queen in right-profile relief. More recent coins have Jody Clark’s sixth-generation effigy that was released onto most Perth Mint coins in 2019.

These 1/4 oz Gold Australian Koala coins are available to you in protective plastic flips. This is a random year listing and means your coin is chosen at random once your payment is processed.
