As with other precious metals, there are various options for investors buying platinum bullion. While it lacks the wide diversity of silver, with its rounds, bars, coins, statues, foils, bullets, and more, platinum does offer investors bullion coins, minted ingots, and cast bars. Minted ingots remain the most common form of platinum bullion for investors. Now, 1 Gram Platinum Argor-Heraeus Bars are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Bar Highlights:

  • Bars ship to you inside Argor-Heraeus blistercards!
  • Features an individual assay card!
  • Distinctive square minted ingot!
  • Consists of One Gram, or .03215 Troy ounces, of .9995 fine platinum.
  • The obverse depicts the weight, metal content, and purity.
  • On the reverse as a logo for Argor-Heraeus.

Among the most common precious metals issued by sovereign and private mints, platinum is the rarest in the Earth’s crust. When the known deposits of gold, silver, and platinum accessible to miners are compared, platinum is by far the rarest. Available platinum sources hold 1/10th the amount of available gold and 1/100th the amount of available silver.

Platinum’s rarity, when combined with its broad range of industrial uses, makes it a valuable metal to investors as well. Platinum is heavily used in the production of catalytic converters for internal-combustion engines in automobiles. Minted ingots remain the most common and popular form of platinum bullion.

The obverse side of 1 Gram Platinum Argor-Heraeus Bars depicts the markings of weight, metal content, and purity for the bars. The metal content of the minted ingots is marked twice, with the word “Platinum” and the Atomic symbol for the metal, “Pt,” also featured on this side of the bar. Included with these markings is an assayer’s mark.

On the reverse face of the 1 Gram Platinum Bar from Argor-Heraeus is the Swiss refiner’s logo. The image of the Argor logo is simplified for use on these diminutive bars and includes only the circular element with the stylized “AH” initials within the circle.

These 1 Gram Platinum Argor-Heraeus Bars are available to you for purchase today with secure packaging. Each bar is individually housed inside of a tamper-evident blistercard from Argor-Heraeus. The blistercard comes with a green assay card as well that authenticates the weight, metal content, and purity of the platinum bars.

1 Gram Platinum Bars from Argor-Heraeus come in brand-new condition from the mint and are part of the Classic Series of minted ingots from Argor. Unlike the other weights in this series, these minted ingots are in the shape of squares instead of rectangles.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

In addition, all VISA and MasterCard orders undergo an additional step of user authentication - the respective Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode programs. Upon completing checkout with a VISA or MasterCard credit/debit card, you may be promoted for additional details to confirm your identity and protect our customers against credit card fraud.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
