The popularity of gold bars tends to spike when the economic markets of the world take a downturn. For those who believe in investing in precious metals, gold bars serve as a benchmark for securing wealth in a stable commodity. The number of gold bars available today is ever-increasing, with more private mints building up vast portfolios of product offerings.
1 Kilo Gold Elemetal Bars are just one example of the variety of precious metal products available on the market today. Like many other gold bars, these products have simple markings that serve only to identify the purity, metal content, and weight of the gold bar, and include the highest fineness of .9999 fine gold.
The obverse of the 1 Kilo Gold Elemetal Bar has the lone markings you’ll find on this product, with nothing engraved or stamped on the reverse. At the top of the bar’s vertical field you’ll find the mint name of “Elemetal,” followed by engravings of “9999,” “1 Kilo,” and “Fine Gold.”
In the middle of the design field is the oval shape of the mint logo, which includes an interlocking “EM” in the center. This image resembles the infinity logo, with the “M” turned on its side to meet up with the “E” and form the shape. Around that field are the engravings of “Elemetal Mint” and “Jackson.”
Ohio Precious Metals was rebranded in July 2015 as the official minting facility of the Elemetal Mint group. Located in Jackson, Ohio, the engraving of Jackson identifies the refining location of these bars.
Elemetal Mint was originally formed in 2014 as a collaborative effort between OPM, NTR Metals, and Provident Metals. As of last year, OPM’s facilities were transitioned to the Elemetal brand, and since that time the refinery has been producing gold and silver bars, along with silver rounds, under the new mint name and logo.
