1 Kilo Silver Australian Lunar Coins debuted from the Perth Mint in 1999. The Lunar Serie I collection was the first collection of lunar-themed coins in the world. Introduced in 1996, Lunar Series I initially featured only 1 oz silver and 1 oz gold coins with new images for each of the 12-animals of the Zodiac for new date marks.

By 1999, the Perth Mint had expanded the series to include 1 Kilo silver coins as well. This continued through the conclusion of the Lunar Series I collection in 2007 and through the entirety of the Lunar Series II program from 2008 to 2019. With the launch of the Lunar Series III coins in 2020, 1 Kilo Silver Australian Lunar Coins continued to be struck.

The obverse of all 1 Kilo Silver Australian Lunar Coins bears the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The fifth-generation Australian portrait of Her Majesty featured on the coins from 1999 to 2019 covering all 1 Kilo coins in the Lunar Series I program and the Lunar Series III program. 1 Kilo Silver Australian Lunar Coins in the Lunar Series III collection have the new sixth-generation effigy created in 2018 for the mint by Jody Clark.

On the reverse of 1 Kilo Silver Australian Lunar Coins, you will find varying images of the 12 animals for the Chinese Zodiac. Designs in the series have been created by various artists, with Ing Ing Jong creating all of the images on the reverse from 2013 through to the 2020 launch of the Lunar Series III program.

These 1 Kilo Silver Australian Lunar Coins are available with protective plastic flips and come from random years of issue. Available date marks in this weight range from 1999 when the 1 Kilo coins debuted to the present series. All coins are chosen at random after your payment is processed. If you buy more than one, you could receive several matching designs and dates.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
