Viking Berserker Rounds are available in this one ounce silver weight with an antique finish. The application of antique polishes brings to the forefront the most intricate details of the design elements, while also giving the rounds an appearance similar to ancient coinage.
The Vikings were Norse seafarers and incredible warriors from the Scandinavian peninsula and mainland Europe in Denmark. The sailing and navigation skills of the Vikings took these warriors far from the shores of northern Europe, with Viking warriors finding their way to North Africa, the Middle East, and even Central Asia.
On the reverse of the 1 oz Antique Silver Viking Berserker Round is the image of a Viking warrior as he raises a double-headed axe in preparation for battle. This side of the round has some of the traditional features of the US circulation Buffalo Nickel coin. The phrases “United States of America” and “E Pluribus Unum” appear along with a face value that has no actual legal tender status.
The obverse of the Antique Silver Viking Round includes a dragon emerging from the waters to attack a longship on the high seas. The brave Viking warriors inside attempt to fight back against the serpent, even though the odds of success are slim at best. “Liberty” and the first year of issue for Buffalo Nickels, “1913,” are engraved on this side.
