It takes dedication to a craft and unique minting processes to create a silver bullion bar that stands out in the crowd. Germany’s Geiger Edelmetalle Mint appears to have achieved just that with its Security Line Silver bars. Using proprietary processes unique to the German mint, Geiger Edelmetalle has introduced an attractive silver bullion product with clear lines and designs. Today, you can purchase a 1 oz Geiger Edelmetalle Security Line Silver bar from Silver.com.
Bar Highlights:

- Design features the image of Schloss Guldengossa castle.

These silver bars are unlike any other on the market today. The first thing most numismatics will notice is the ribbed edge of the bar, which appears similar to that of most silver and gold bullion coins. Each bar comes with a security label along the bottom edge. The reverse side of each bar is covered with a UV varnish that displays the corporate logo of the mint and the year of minting in blue when held under an ultraviolet light.
Please note that this is a Secondary Market listing. As such, these bars did not come to Silver.com directly from the original manufacturer and could vary in condition.
Perhaps the most noticeable feature of the bar is the pearl finish on the obverse side. The unique minting process, which Geiger Edelmetalle does not disclose to the public, leaves the obverse side with a pearl texturing and matte finish. In addition to the 1 oz Security Line Silver bar, Geiger Edelmetalle mints this product in 10 oz, 100 oz, 100 gram, 250 gram, 500 gram, 1,000 gram, and 5,000 gram weights.
On the obverse side of each bar are numerous engravings identifying the mint and the bar’s physical features. The mint name is engraved along the top, followed by the metal content (in German), purity of the silver, a circular image featuring Castle Guldengossa, and the weight of the bar. Castle Guldengossa, minted as “Schloss Guldengossa,” is an 18th-century estate which serves as the headquarters of the mint.
The reverse side of the bar features a textured finish with a deeply mirrored, clear background. The repeating design on this side of the bar displays the corporate logo, “LEV,” over and again.
Geiger Edelmetalle is one of five German state mints, and is located in the Saxony region of the country. This mountainous, southeastern region of Germany has a rich history in the silver industry that dates back 1,100 years.
