Kinebar gold bars from Argor-Heraeus feature a distinctive hologram that is embossed on the reverse field of the gold bars. The technology was developed by Argor-Heraeus and its parent company, UBS, in 1993 to provide enhanced visual brilliance and security for its minted ingots. Today, 1 oz Gold Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Bars are available to you online at Silver.com.

Bar Highlights:

  • Available to ship to you in a sealed, transparent blisterpack that features an assay card!
  • Boasts Kinebar technology in the reverse field!
  • Individual serial numbers!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .9999 fine gold.
  • On the obverse side of the bar are the Argor logo and identifying details.
  • The reverse face of the gold bar has an embossed Kinegram.

UBS, the Union Bank of Switzerland, acquired a 100% stake in Argor-Heraeus in 1973 when it was still known as Argor SA. The two companies developed Kinebar technology together in 1993 for use on Argor gold bars. The application of the kinegram is embossed on the substrate surface of the bar.

All of these 1 oz Gold Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Bars are available to you in brand-new condition. The gold bars are individually packaged inside of sealed blisterpacks with a transparent design. The blisterpack includes a capsule to house the gold bar and an assay card around the capsule. The assay cards include details on the weight, metal content, purity, and serial number that match all those details inscribed on the bars.

On the obverse side of the 1 oz Gold Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Bars is a depiction of the Argor-Heraeus logo. The company logo has a small central circle with the initials “AH” inside and an outer ring with “Argor Heraeus SA” inscribed. The markings immediately below this include the nation of production, weight, metal content, and purity. The bottom of the bar has markings of the assayer’s stamp and an individual serial number.

The reverse face of 1 oz Gold Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Bars comes with the embossed kinegram design. The embossed kinegram offers brilliant colorization that changes specific colors and visual textures based on the angle you view the bar from. The Argor-Heraeus logo is also featured on this side along with the kinegram.

Argor-Heraeus was founded as Argor SA in 1951 in Chiasso, Switzerland. The company was acquired by UBS in 1973 and became Argor-Heraeus in 1986 following a joint venture between UBS and the German Heraeus group. In 1988, the mint moved to its modern headquarters in Mendrisio, Switzerland.
