Today, near-perfect 1 oz Gold Australian Kangaroos are available to you online at Silver.com.

The Perth Mint introduced the Gold Kangaroo Series of bullion coins in 1986 as the Gold Nugget to celebrate the history of gold nugget discoveries in Australia. In 1990, the series switched gears to focus on new designs of the kangaroo on the reverse field of the coins. Each year, the design element on this face of the coin changes.

All of the 1 oz Gold Australian Kangaroos offered in this product listing come in near-perfect condition. The PCGS or NGC issued a Mint State 69 certification to these coins, indicating the presence of full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Those flaws are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines and limited in scope to the areas outside of the primary focal points.

Silver.com will select your coins at random after your payment has cleared. We cannot guarantee which coin date mark and design element you will receive in advance. After your payment clears, we will select your coins from our available stock at that point. The designs, dates, and labels associated with the coin can all match if you purchase several coins.

Queen Elizabeth II is found on the obverse field of 1 oz Gold Australian Kangaroos. There is the possibility of three different designs featuring on this field of the coins. Her Majesty’s effigy has been modified several times during her reign and includes the 1985 design from Raphael Maklouf, the 1998 design from Ian Rank-Broadley, and the 2015 design from Jody Clark.

Kangaroos are visible on the reverse of the 1 oz Gold Australian Kangaroos. The image of the kangaroo changes with each date mark in the series and captures the beloved marsupial in various reliefs.
