When it comes to buying gold, traditionally, investors have only had a choice between gold bullion bars and gold bullion coins. While these product lineups offer a wide range of choices to investors, more options always mean more choice for those investing in the coveted yellow metal. Now, 1 oz Gold Scotiabank Rounds are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Round Highlights:

  • Rounds ship to you inside of a blisterpack with an included assay!
  • Produced in Switzerland!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .9999 fine gold.
  • The obverse and reverse fields present the same designs.
  • Comes with the logo of Scotiabank.

Gold bullion rounds are much like silver bullion rounds. The appearance of a gold round is just like that of a gold bullion coin. However, like silver rounds, gold rounds are not backed by sovereign mints or central banks. As such, the rounds do not have status as legal tender and do not come with any assigned face value.

Not only is the visual presentation of a gold round the same as a gold bullion coin, but in most cases, gold rounds are produced in the same manner as gold coins. The mints that produce gold rounds use gold bullion blanks just as a sovereign mint would for gold coining. The blanks are struck with dies in a press that stamp the images found on the obverse and reverse into the fields of the round.

The obverse side of these 1 oz Gold Scotiabank Rounds comes with the same imagery you will find on the reverse field. The design element at the center of the round is the Scotiabank logo. The field immediately around in the logo in the central design section is blank. Around the rim of the design field, you will find a number of other inscriptions that include, among other things, the assayer’s mark.

On the reverse face of Gold Scotiabank Rounds is a depiction of the same designs. The Scotiabank logo is still in the center of the design with inscriptions around the rim of the weight, purity, metal content, and mint of issue for the gold round. The purity of the gold round is noted twice on the rim as both “24-karat” and “999,9.”

These 1 oz Gold Scotiabank Rounds are available to you with protective packaging. The rounds are housed by Valcambi Suisse inside of sealed blisterpacks. The back offers a protective environment for the gold round and comes with an assay card. The assay card offers the bank name on one side with the weight, purity, and metal content noted on the other side along with the signature of a certified assayer. As Second Market rounds, Silver.com received these items from a source other than the original manufacturer. The rounds may be brand-new or like-new, or could showcase varying levels of wear and tear.
