The Perth Mint has been striking high-quality bullion coins since the 1970s, and over the years has joined the ranks of the world’s most elite coin producers, creating gold, silver and platinum pieces known for their elegant and advanced design and manufacture. Their limited-edition annual releases are popular with collectors and investors all over the world, and one of the most popular such pieces is the platinum kangaroo coin that pays tribute to perhaps the single most famous of all Australia’s indigenous wildlife species. The 1 oz Platinum Australia Kangaroo Coin is now available with multiple different years of issue through Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Available in a protective plastic sleeve!
  • Issued in multiple years by the Pert Mint!
  • The supply comes from limited original mintages!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .9995 pure platinum.
  • Carries a face value of 100 Dollars as legal tender of Australia.
  • Obverse field features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
  • Reverse field features the famous “red kangaroo” design by Stuart Devlin.
  • Random dates are possible when buying more than one coin.

The Platinum Australian Kangaroo Coin ships individually packaged in a secure plastic sleeve, fully insured against any chance of mishap in transit by the team at Silver.com. An advanced authentication feature is part of its design: a tiny letter engraved by micro-laser, visible under high magnification for those who want to confirm the coin’s genuineness. A range of possible random dates may be included in any order of more than one coin.

More than thirty-four million kangaroos call the Australian wilderness home, and the bounding marsupials are more iconic in stature as a symbol of Australia’s unique wildlife than perhaps any other animal. On the Perth Mint’s annual limited edition platinum coins, they’re represented by the consistent use of Stuart Devlin’s famous “red kangaroo” design.

That design appears on the reverse field of these coins in any year. The graceful engraving of a kangaroo in motion appears alongside each coin’s year of issue and the lettering “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO” and “1 OZ 9995 PLATINUM.”

The obverse fields of these coins feature an effigy of the late Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark. Known as the Sixth Portrait, it verifies each coin as legal tender of Australia. The portrait is accompanied by the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA,” and “100 DOLLARS” at the rim.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
