The Punisher is a Marvel Comics anti-hero who first appeared in the pages of Marvel comic books in 1974. His background is as a Force Recon Marine who served in the Vietnam War. As an anti-hero for Marvel, The Punisher dispensed his own brand of justice wearing an all-black outfit with a white skull. That skull has become known as the Deuce Four Skull. Now, 1 oz Silver Deuce Four Skull Rounds are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Round Highlights:

  • Rounds ship to you inside of a protective plastic flip or a mint tube of 20!
  • Type 1 design release in the new Deuce Four Skull series!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
  • Revolutionary War themes dominate the Deuce Four Skull design on the obverse.
  • The symbol of Intaglio Mint appears on the reverse of the rounds.

The image of the Deuce Four Skull was often the very last thing that the victims of The Punisher would see before meeting their demise. The skull was often set on a black background with its bone-white appearance the only thing visible. Modern US Military units have adopted the image of the Deuce Four Skull as unofficial patches and logos for various units.

The inclusion of the words “Deuce Four” in the skull is a modern nod to the 24th Regiment of the United States Army. This group and others would use the Deuce Four Skull for other means in action across Afghanistan and Iraq. One of the many uses was to mark buildings where units had engaged enemy forces with the Deuce Four Skull.

On the obverse side of 1 oz Silver Deuce Four Skull Rounds is the image of the famed skull. Rather than a nod to modern conflicts or comic book anti-heroes, this Deuce Four Skull represents the bravery of the men of the Continental Army who served during the Revolutionary War. The use of a Roman numeral “III” in the center is a reference to the historical belief that three percent of the colonial population participated in Continental military actions against the British during the war. There is also a circle of 13 stars around the Roman numeral that represents the original colonies.

The reverse face of the 1 oz Silver Deuce Four Skull Rounds includes the Intaglio Mint logo which includes a Romanesque column in the shape of an “I.” This is backed by a radial sunburst in the immediate background with an outer rim design that features a stippled background.

These 1 oz Silver Deuce Four Skull Rounds are available to you with either an individual protective plastic flip or in mint tubes of 20 rounds. These silver rounds are offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
