The new Through That Door Series from the North American Mint and Chautauqua Silver Works offers a planned nine different designs for the series. Each one delivers a new twist on the concept of life’s unknown challenges. For each decision we make in life, there are unknown consequences. You’ll have to journey through the door to know what is on the other side if you want to progress.

All of these 1 oz Silver Essential Through That Door Series Rounds come with a protective plastic capsule. The designs in this series are limited to just 2,500 rounds per release and share a common design element on the obverse. As you look at the top of the design field, you’ll notice an arch pattern with nine doors. Each door is numbered and the individual releases in this series will feature their matching door open while the others remain closed.

On the obverse of 1 oz Silver Essential Through That Door Series Rounds, you’ll notice that door number two is open in the arch. In the foreground, there is a man with his back to you and you’ll notice an on-off switch on his head. The switch is turned to off, highlighting the essential need to shut off the mind from time to time to focus on what lies ahead. In front of the man, there are musical notes and a line of lyrics that include some from a Beatles’ song that read “Turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream.”

The reverse side of the 1 oz Silver Essential Rounds include the bullseye logo of the Chautauqua Silver Works, along with inscriptions of the weight, purity, and metal content of the round. Back on the obverse, inscriptions along the design rocker identify the name of this release and its number position in the collection as “Essential” and “No.2.”
