Sometimes in life, the best decision we make is the one that doesn’t get made. We opt not to open that door to see what’s on the other side. The Through That Door Series from the North American Mint and Chautauqua Silver Works presents this concept in visual images that are distinct in each of the nine issues in the series. Now, 1 oz Silver Forgo Rounds are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com in the Through That Door Series.

Round Highlights:

  • Round ships to you inside of individual protective capsules!
  • Fifth issue in the Through That Door Series!
  • Mintage limited to 2,500 rounds only!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
  • The obverse features a single door with the number “5” in its window.
  • On the reverse is the Chautauqua Silver Works logo.
  • Unique serial numbers etched on the edges of the rounds.

Most people believe you have to make a choice when faced with a decision. Often this blinds us to the fact that not making any decision is a choice in and of itself. The design issues in this series are meant to point to the reality that we don’t know what’s on the other side of a door until we open it, much like we don’t know the results of our choices until a decision is made.

The obverse of 1 oz Silver Forgo Rounds in the Through That Door Series offers another interpretation. You don’t always have to make a choice. Opting not to act is a decision itself, and the Forgo design points to the door not opened. In the center of the field is a large door with the number “5” in its window. The door remains closed because the choice here was not to act.

Along the top of the design field is the series of nine doors in an arch formation. While other designs in the series feature the numbered door matching the release number opened, this time the fifth door remains closed, just like the primary design.

On the reverse of Silver Forgo Rounds in this series is the Chautauqua Silver Works logo. This logo uses a large bullseye that stretches across the design field. It is accompanied by the weight, metal content, and purity of the round, as well as the name of the silver works and its motto.

These 1 oz Silver Forgo Rounds are available in individual protective capsules. Each silver round has a unique serial number etched onto its outer edge and proof-like visuals. This means the design elements are frosted and contrast with the mirrored background fields.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required to collect sales tax in certain states. You can review your states sales tax policy here: https://www.silver.com/taxes. You should always consult with a tax adviser for specific advice in your area.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
