The new 1 oz Silver Geiger Square Bar is similar to an original series design from Geiger. What’s different is the square shape of the bars and the new security features integrated into its overall design. Each of these bars notably features a raised, or ribbed, edge that is commonly found on silver bullion coins today.
On the obverse of the Silver Geiger Square Bar you’ll find the image of the company’s first registered building. The Schloss Guldengossa castle was constructed near Leipzig, Germany in 1720 and registered as the first official headquarters of the company. Engravings read “Geiger Edelmetalle” above the castle design and “1 oz Feinsilber 999” below.
The reverse of all 1 oz Silver Geiger Square Bars includes the repeating design feature of the “LEV” rhombus. Featured on countless Geiger Edelmetalle bars, the design field is set with the “LEV” rhombus repeating horizontally across the design field. A rectangle along the bottom features the one-letter, seven-number serial number coding used for the bars in this issue.
