A genus of flowering plant that originated in Central Asia, today Cannabis is grown around the world. Cannabis has a variety of uses that include recreational drug use and medicinal uses. Hemp, the industrial form of Cannabis, has been used for thousands of years as a fiber in paper, cordage, construction materials, textiles, and clothing. Cannabis is truly a flexible plant.
All 1 oz Silver GSM Cannabis Rounds are available to you inside of individual protective plastic flips or inside of mint tubes of 20 rounds. Each individual round is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and comes from the Silver Shield Collection at the Golden State Mint.
On the obverse side of GSM Cannabis Rounds, you’ll find a design reminiscent of the Silver Maple Leaf bullion coin. Instead of the sugar maple leaf, here you’ll find a singular Cannabis leaf in the center. It is surrounded by inscriptions of “Cannabis” above, “.999” on either side of the leaf, and “1 oz Fine Silver Legaliser Nature.”
Cannabis is currently legal for recreational use in a total of 10 US states and the District of Columbia. An additional 33 states have legalized the medical use of Cannabis, which has been proven to reduce the impact of glaucoma, boost appetite in those undergoing chemotherapy, and even ease pain and muscle spasms.
The reverse of 1 oz Silver GSM Cannabis Rounds includes the common design elements of the series. This side includes a sword standing on its tip with ornate design elements surrounding the sword. Inscriptions on this side of the round include “Silver Shield” and “1 Troy Ounce 2019 .999 Pure Ag.”
The Golden State Mint was founded in 1974 by Jim Pavlakos, whose son Andrew is now a vital part of the mint’s operations. GSM operates facilities in Southern California and Central Florida producing silver, gold, and copper products.
