This privately minted 1 oz US Quarter Copper Round celebrates the Washington Quarter, which made its debut in 1932. It has been struck in 1 avoirdupois oz (28 grams) of .999 fine copper, making it ideal for significant investments in this base metal. Each copper round is ready to ship in brand new condition, encased in a protective sleeve for single orders and tubes of 20 for larger orders. Please be advised that although these rounds have the same design as the U.S. Quarter, they do not have any type of legal tender value.

Round Highlights:

  • Consists of one AVDP ounce of .999 fine copper.
  • Inspired by the circulation United States Quarter.
  • Bears a replica of the official emblem of the US government.
  • Bald eagle depicted on obverse with the traditional arrows and olive branch.
  • Available in brand-new condition.
  • Minted in the United States.
  • Individual rounds ship in plastic flips, multiples of 10 – 20 ship in tubes, and multiples of 500 ship in boxes.

The design for this copper round features two different interpretations of the heraldic eagle. On the front of the round is an image that appeared on the US quarter prior to the State Quarter Program. It depicts a bald eagle with its wings stretched to their full span as it perches vigilantly atop a bundle of arrows. Beneath the set of arrows is a pair of olive branches. This image represents the government’s duty to protect the peace of this country by any means necessary. Serving as an accent to this patriotic design are a series of stars that appear directly above the eagle in a triangular formation and beneath the bird in a reverse arc shape. Also inscribed along the upper edge of the round are the words, “United States of America.”

Prominently displayed on the reverse side of the coin is a less literal interpretation of the heraldic eagle. The design consists of a winged shield, soaring over the abbreviation, “USA” and an unfurling scroll. Proudly waving above the shield is the nation’s flag, further emphasizing the stars and stripes that decorate the winged shield. As with the front of the round, the reverse side features a series of six stars, which appear along its border, accompanied by the round’s weight and purity.

This 1 oz US Quarter Copper Round is an impressive piece of bullion that is appropriate as both a gift or an investment in physical copper.
