In 2015, the Chinese Lunar Calendar celebrates the Year of the Goat. The eighth animal in the 12-year cycle, the goat is featured on the 2015 Lunar Year silver bars from PAMP Suisse. Now, the 100 Gram Silver PAMP Suisse Goat Bar is available from Silver.com.
- Consists of 100 grams, or 3.215 ounces, of .999 fine silver.
- Individual bars ship in sealed plastic with an Assay card, and multiples of 25 ship in boxes.
- Features a unique Year of the Goat design.
- Eligible for inclusion in Precious Metal IRA accounts.
The animals in the Zodiac are arranged in order based upon their completion of the Great Race. When the Jade Emperor invited the creatures of the world to a meeting, only 12 arrived. The order in which those animals arrived, following the Great Race, determined their position in the Zodiac.
On the reverse face of the 100 Gram Silver PAMP Suisse Goat bar is the image of a lone goat, standing among the tall grass. In the image, the goat is featured with horns and long hair in its coat. The lone engraving on this side is that of the Chinese symbol for goat.
The obverse side features a unique design in the Lunar Year Bars. All bars in the series feature front-and-back designs that are connected to one another in imagery. The goat bar is unique thanks to its hidden surprise. While you see only one goat on the reverse side, the obverse shows a young goat lying amongst the grass behind the adult. Engravings include the corporate logo of the mint, the bar’s weight, metal content, and purity, as well as the individual serial number and assayer’s mark.
PAMP Suisse is located in Ticino, Switzerland, where it was founded in 1977. Today, the refinery is part of the MKS Group, a global financial services and precious metal firm that has offices throughout the world.
