On the obverse of each of the 100 oz SilverTowne Silver Bars you’ll find the image of a lone Prospector leading his burro on to the next hopeful location to pan and mine for silver. The Prospector logo is well known as the official symbol of SilverTowne refining.
Included on the obverse of this silver bar you’ll also find engravings stamped into the bar which indicate the weight in Troy Ounces, the metal content of the bar, and the purity of the silver content within. The SilverTowne company name is also engraved along the bottom with the trademark miner’s pick-ax featured as the “T” in SilverTowne.
The reverse of these 100 oz SilverTowne Silver Bars is left blank on purpose. Each bar is hand-poured and its marking hand stamped to give the individual products a unique finish and characteristics. SilverTowne craftsman begin the production process by melting .999 fine silver shot and pouring it into graphite molds precisely manufactured to ensure 100 Troy ounces of silver is contained within each bar.
Individual bars are then left to cool before engravings are hand-stamped into the face of the bar. SilverTowne refining began life in 1949 as a small coin shop in Winchester, Indiana, but grew in size and scope by 1973 to produce silver bars meeting the highest standards of quality in the industry.
