The Fallen Angels Collection of silver statues from HotCo were designed by Paul Ray Effinger, and include two designs in total. The male-female pairing of Fallen Angels were betrayed by Lucifer. Once a good person who resided alongside God peacefully in Heaven, Lucifer’s deception not only left him cast of out Heaven, but also his followers.
Volnus, and his companion Artifice, were created by Effinger after he read the stories of fallen angels left to wander the Earth in desolation and despair in the Urantia Book. His original casting of both Volnus and Artifice were completed in bronze, and were his first projects manufactured entirely on his own; from moles and castings to the welding and finish.
Each of the 15 oz Antique Finish Silver Volnus Statues in this collection from HotCo is available to you inside of a protective box at the time of shipping, and includes an individual serial number on the base that matches the Certificate of Authenticity. HotCo applies a unique, proprietary antique polish to each of its silver statues for added depth of design and visual appeal.
Volnus depicts the male figure of a fallen angel. These statues capture Volnus as he sits, his head sunken sullenly toward his chest as he rests his elbows on his knees sitting on the ground in despair. His wings hang sadly behind him as he contemplates the eternity of solitude he now faces.
Effinger’s original Volnus statue won Best of Show at the 2013 Texas Art Hop and comes to life in these silver statues based upon the same human models used to create the beautiful figures.
