Silver Morgan Dollars have been available from the United States Mint since 1878. The coins were issued that first year by the Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Carson City branches. Carson City would go on to strike the coins through 1885 and again from 1889 to 1893. Now, 1884-CC Silver Morgan Dollars are available to you for purchase online from Silver.com in certified condition.

Carson City Morgan Dollars were issued a total of 13 different times by the branch mint. The US Mint established the Carson City Mint as a purpose-built mint meant to take advantage of the silver lodes discovered in Nevada in the late 1860s and early 1870s.

Despite striking millions of Silver Morgan Dollars over the course of 13 years, Carson City Morgans largely ended up in Treasury vaults to back Silver Certificates in circulation. In the 1960s, bags of Morgan Dollars were discovered still in vaults, with most of the three million coins having originally been issued by the Carson City Mint.

The obverse of the 1884-CC Silver Morgan Dollar comes with a left-profile portrait of Liberty. Designed by George T. Morgan, this visual shows Liberty wearing a laurel wreath crown and a coronet crown.

On the reverse side of 1884-CC Morgan Dollars, you will find the image of the heraldic eagle. This design was created by Morgan as well and shows the bald eagle in front-facing relief with the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons.

These 1884-CC Silver Morgan Dollars are in Mint State 64 condition. Coins with this grade showcase average mint luster, small contact marks in groups, one or two heavier marks, and one or two small patches of hairlines.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
