These 1885-O Morgan Dollar Coins have been certified by the Professional Coin Grading Service. Using the standard 1-70 grading scale, PCGS awarded these coins a grade of MS63. In order to receive Mint State status, a coin must fall between 60-70 on the scale. Upon delivery, you will find your coin housed in a protective slab that includes the grading details and PCGS logo.

On the obverse of Silver Morgan Dollar Coins Lady Liberty is featured. One of the most recognizable portraits of Ms. Liberty, this design was created by George T. Morgan, who at the time was Assistant Engraver at the U.S. Mint. Morgan would later be promoted to Chief Engraver in 1917 following the death of Charles Barber.

The reverse of 1885-O Silver Morgan Dollars shows the heraldic eagle carrying arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Also designed by Morgan, this rendering notably excludes the shield often found on the bird’s chest. The reverse also features decorative laurels and the New Orleans mintmark.

In 1878, the United States Congress overrode President Hayes’s veto of the Bland-Allison Act, thereby enacting the law. This act stipulated that the United States purchase $2-$4 million in silver each month for the production of a new Silver Dollar. Prior to that, the U.S. had ceased all silver Dollar production in the wake of 1873 Coinage Act. With a brand-new design from George T. Morgan, The Philadelphia Mint struck the first Morgan Silver Dollar at 3:17 PM on March 11, 1878.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
