Christian Gobrecht, the 3rd Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, introduced the Liberty Head Eagle design in 1838. This $10 gold coin became the longest-running design in the US Eagle series, produced until 1907. Although the design was featured on multiple gold coin denominations, the $10 Liberty Eagle had the longest run. Right now, certified 1893 Gold $10 Liberty Eagle Coins are available from Silver.com.

Each 1893 Gold $10 Liberty Eagle Coin is available in Mint State 64 condition. This grade means the coins have good mint luster and may show some light, scattered contact marks. These marks may appear in focal areas of the design, along with light hairlines on the surface.

In 1893, four US Mint locations were involved in striking the Liberty Gold Eagle. The Philadelphia Mint led production with 1,840,840 coins minted. San Francisco followed with just over 141,000 coins, while New Orleans produced 17,000, and Carson City struck 14,000 coins.

The obverse of the 1893 Gold Liberty Eagle features a left-profile bust of Lady Liberty. Designed by Christian Gobrecht in 1838, Liberty wears a coronet crown, and the design is surrounded by 13 stars representing the original American colonies. The coin’s date mark is inscribed below her portrait.

The reverse of the 1893 $10 Liberty Eagle Coins features the heraldic eagle of the United States. This design shows a bald eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, with the US national shield on its chest. A banner above the eagle bears the national motto, marking it as a Type II coin.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
