In 1921, the United States Mint underwent a design transition as it reintroduced silver dollars into circulation. The Silver Morgan Dollar was the second-longest-used design on US silver dollars, with its 28-year run falling behind only the Seated Liberty Dollar from the early-and-mid 19th century. Now, 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars in certified condition are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

In 1878, the United States Mint resumed coining silver dollars with the release of the Morgan Dollar. This design was named for its creator, George T. Morgan. In 1878, Mr. Morgan was a new apprentice at the United States Mint and this silver dollar design was his first major contribution.

The Morgan Dollars were issued from 1878 to 1904 and suspended once the Congressional mandate authorizing the Treasury’s purchase of silver to support coining ended. Following the Pittman Act of 1918, silver dollar coining was set to resume, with production restarting in 1921. At that point in time, George T. Morgan was serving as the 7th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint and redesigned the dies needed for the production of 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars.

The obverse of 1921 Silver Morgan Dollar Coins comes with an image of Lady Liberty. This image shows the female personification of American freedom in left-profile relief. Her bust wears a Phrygian cap with the coronet and laurel wreath crowns. This design field also includes 13 stars and a date mark.

On the reverse side of the 1921 Silver Morgan Dollar is a depiction of the heraldic eagle of the United States. This design shows the bald eagle in front-facing relief with the arrows of war in one talon and an olive branch of peace in the other. Also included on this side is a laurel wreath around the bird.

These 1921 Silver Morgan Dollar Coins are available in Mint State 61 condition. Coins in this condition may showcase impaired or diminished luster, with clusters of large and small contact marks, noticeable hairlines, and scuff marks.

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
