The Silver Morgan Dollar holds a unique place in the history of American coining. Among US silver dollars, it has the distinction of being introduced after a hiatus in silver dollar production not once, but twice. The introduction of the Silver Morgan Dollar in 1878 came after a five-year hiatus that started in 1873 with the end of the Seated Liberty Series.

In 1904, the Congressional mandate allowing the Treasury to purchase silver for the US Mint to strike into coins ended. As such, the US Mint ceased production of any new Silver Morgan Dollars after 1904. The result was a more than decade-long hiatus in coining, with no new silver dollars between 1905 and 1920. When silver dollars returned in 1921, the Morgan Dollar design was again chosen to represent the series.

The obverse field of 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars comes with a bust of Lady Liberty. This left-profile relief features Liberty with the Phrygian cap on her head. She is also wearing a coronet crown and a laurel wreath on her head in this design.

On the reverse side of 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars, you will find the image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. One of the few versions of the heraldic eagle to lack a US national shield, the design shows the bird in front-facing relief as its talons clutch the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace. Its wings are spread wide as it is surrounded by a laurel wreath.

These 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars are Mint State 62 specimens. Coins in this condition showcase impaired or dull mint luster, clusters of small marks, one or two heavier marks, and noticeable hairlines. It is also possible for the coins to feature unattractive scuff marks.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
