When the United States Mint resumed the final era of silver dollar coining in 1921, it reached back more than a decade and a half to restart its programs with the Silver Morgan Dollar design. The Silver Morgan Dollars were last issued from 1878 to 1904, and with no new design ready in 1921, the US Mint quickly revived the Morgan Dollar design for the initial 1921 silver dollar coining process. Today, 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars in certified condition are available to you online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Available to ship to you inside PCGS or NGC protective plastic slabs!
  • Final issue of Silver Morgan Dollars!
  • Availability of certified coins is limited!
  • Consists of .7734 Troy ounces of actual silver content.
  • The face value of $1 (USD) is fully backed by the US government.
  • Graded Mint State 63 by the Professional Coin Grading Service or Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.
  • On the obverse is a portrait of Liberty.
  • The reverse depicts the heraldic eagle.
  • Please bear in mind you may get coins with matching mint marks and grading house labels when you buy more than one.

When the United States Mint resumed coining silver dollars in 1921, it was easy to revive the Morgan Dollar design. George T. Morgan had joined the US Mint in 1878, creating the original designs for the silver dollar that bore his name that same year. By 1921, he was still a member of the US Mint and held its top position as the 7th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint. His original design was revived and struck from January to December 28, 1921.

All of the 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars available here come with Mint State 63 certifications. Coins in this condition have slightly impaired mint luster, scattered, small contact marks, and a few heavy marks on the surface areas. You may also notice flaws such as small, visible hairlines and scuff marks.

Please note that Silver.com selects your coins at random after your payment clears. We can only guarantee each coin is dated 1921 and features an MS63 grade. The mint marks and grading house labels cannot be guaranteed. These factors may match or vary if you buy more than one.

On the obverse of 1921 Silver Morgan Dollar Coins is a portrait of Lady Liberty. This left-profile relief of Liberty was created in 1878 by George T. Morgan and shows Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap with a coronet crown and laurel wreath on her head as well.

The reverse field of the 1921 Silver Morgan Dollars comes with a distinctive image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. Also created by George T. Morgan, this design shows the bald eagle in front-facing relief with its wings spread. The eagle looks to its right (the left side of the coin) as it clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
