The obverse of the 1924 Gold Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle presents Liberty walking forward with confidence. She carries a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other, with rays of sunlight extending behind her—a design by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens.

The reverse of the 1924 $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle Coin features a bald eagle gliding over a rising sun. This Type II version includes Arabic numerals for the date and 48 stars around Liberty on the obverse, while the motto “In God We Trust” appears on the reverse.

Saint-Gaudens found inspiration in classical sculpture and themes of liberty when creating this design. Liberty’s graceful posture and dynamic movement capture the spirit of progress. Her torch symbolizes enlightenment, while the olive branch reflects peace. The model for Liberty may have combined traits from several individuals, though artist Hettie Anderson is often linked to the final image. The radiant halo of sun rays adds to the coin’s elegant appearance.

Each 1924 $20 Gold Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle Coin is graded Mint State 66. MS66 coins have strong luster and only minimal contact marks. A few light hairlines may appear under magnification, and small imperfections may be seen in focal areas, but overall presentation remains exceptional.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
