The largest denominations of paper money ever released in the United States came predominantly from the 1918 Series Federal Reserve Notes. Issued four years after the more common circulation denominations in 1914, the 1918 Series offered denominations specialized for use in bank-to-bank transactions. The result was that few in the public ever saw these bills. Now, certified 1934 $1000 Federal Reserve Notes are available to you for purchase online from Silver.com.

Note Highlights:

  • Notes ship to you inside individual protective currency sleeves!
  • Last design from the $1000 Federal Reserve Note Series!
  • Availability of certified notes is limited!
  • Issued a face value of $1,000 (USD).
  • President Grover Cleveland is on the obverse.
  • Denomination and nation of issue on the reverse.
  • Please remember that these notes may not all have the exact same wear patterns.
  • PCGS or PMG certification is possible.

The Federal Reserve Note Series was introduced in 1914 with denominations of $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100, popular forms of everyday currency still in use in the 21st century. In 1918, a different series of notes was introduced by the Treasury and Federal Reserve. The 1918 Series consisted of $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 notes.

In 1934, this series received an overhaul as the Treasury and Federal Reserve shuffled designs in the 1918 Series. Each note received a brand-new reverse design that was simplified from the original imagery. James Madison and John Marshall exited American currency design at this point, while Alexander Hamilton was moved from the original 1918 $1000 Federal Reserve Note to the $10 Federal Reserve Note, and replaced on these notes by President Cleveland.

President Grover Cleveland features on the obverse of these 1934 $1000 Federal Reserve Notes. As noted above, President Cleveland replaced Alexander Hamilton on the $1000 Federal Reserve Note and would continue to feature on the notes until the 1970s when the notes were removed from circulation and the vast majority destroyed.

A simple design element greets you on the reverse side of 1934 $1000 Federal Reserve Notes. The design field has the nation of issue and the alphabetic face value of the note at the center, with the numeric face value noted in all four corners.

These 1934 $1000 Federal Reserve Notes are Very Fine 35 notes. This certification is also sometimes called Choice Very Fine and refers to notes that have four to seven light fold lines present. The notes are housed in individual protective sleeves. Please keep in mind the notes may bear PCGS or PMG certification. We select all notes at random after your payment clears.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
