Each of the coins in this set has an individual certification from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, one of the two most respected grading companies in the precious metals industry.

Silver American Eagle coins debuted in 1986 from the United States Mint as a bullion and proof coin. Each year, the bullion coins are released in a 1 oz weight with a face value of $1 (USD). The proof coins have been offered every year since 1986, with the exception of 2009 when commemorative coining at the US Mint was largely put on hold amidst increasing demand for bullion specimens.

All individual Silver American Eagle coins in this 32-coin set has a near-perfect certification from the NGC. Coins with an MS69 grade exhibit full, original mint luster, but also have two minor detracting flaws that are limited in scope to minuscule contact marks or hairlines, and limited in range to the surface areas outside the primary focal zones.

The obverse side of all Silver American Eagle coins from the US Mint include the image of Walking Liberty. Her image was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman amidst a drive at the US Mint to revamp the appearance of all the nation’s official currency. The Walking Liberty design appeared on the nation’s 50-cent piece from 1916 to 1947.

On the reverse of all Silver American Eagles is the image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. It features a bald eagle set behind the nation’s heraldic shield. The eagle holds the arrows of war in one talon, and the olive branch of peace in the other. Above its head are 13 stars arranged in a triangular formation, representative of the original American Colonies.
