The 1992 1/2 oz Proof Gold American Gold Coin was originally struck from the Philadelphia location of the United States Mint. This coin was struck with 22 karats of actual gold content and contains a metal balance of 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver. The coin itself also has a proof finish; this means that the designs on each side of the coin are frosted while the backgrounds are mirrored. When you order from Silver.com your coin will be packaged in a presentation box with a Certificate of Authenticity included.

The American Gold Eagle Coin collection was initiated in 1986, but it wasn’t until the year 1987 that the Philadelphia Mint released a weight denomination of 1/2 ounce for this coin. This weight denomination would continue to be manufactured and released by the Philadelphia Mint until after 1993, when coin production was transferred to the West Point Mint. The coin’s “P” mintmark is included on one side of the coin and shows that it originates from the Philadelphia Mint.

The obverse of the 1992 1/2 oz Proof Gold American Gold Coin includes the image of Lady Liberty. In the image, Lady Liberty is seen walking toward the viewer with multiple sun rays extending out into the distance behind her. Both of her hands are extended; one hand holds a torch while the other carries an olive branch. The imagery included on this side of the coin is incredibly patriotic and has multiple symbols to represent American history. This design was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.

The reverse of the 1992 1/2 oz Proof Gold American Gold Coin is an eagle family design that was created by the artist Miley Busiek. Within the image, a male eagle is shown flying overhead toward a nest where a female eagle waits with their eaglets. The male eagle carries an olive branch in its talons, pointing toward the patriotism and history of the United States. The weight, value, purity, and country of origin of the coin are also on the reverse.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
