The Gold Philharmonic bullion coin series was introduced in 1989 with two weights available. Over time, the series expanded to include a total of five gold bullion coin options, as well as silver and platinum bullion coins available in one weight each. The 1 oz gold coin is the foundation of this series and dates back to 1989. Today, 1993 1 oz Gold Austrian Philharmonic Coins are available to you online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Available to ship to you inside individual plastic flips!
  • Fifth year of release for the Gold Austrian Philharmonic!
  • Total mintage of 234,000 coins!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .9999 fine gold.
  • The face value of 2,000 Schillings is fully backed by the Austrian government.
  • On the obverse is a depiction of the Great Pipe Organ.
  • The reverse features musical instruments.

The Austrian Mint has expanded its Austrian Philharmonic bullion coin series several times over the course of more than 30 years. The 1989 debut brought with it two gold bullion options. Additional gold bullion weights were added in 1991, 1994, and 2014, with silver coins introduced in 2008 and platinum coins in 2016.

All of these 1993 1 oz Gold Austrian Philharmonics are available with individual plastic flips. The 1993 release had the 12th lowest mintage in the series, to date, with 234,000 coins. 1993 Gold Philharmonics were issued when the coins still featured denominations in Austrian Schillings.

On the obverse of 1993 Gold Austrian Philharmonics, you will find an image of the Great Pipe Organ. This fixture is the third such organ installed in the Musikverein since the concert hall was completed in the 1870s.

The reverse side of 1993 1 oz Gold Philharmonics comes with a cluster of musical instruments. This design element features a large cello in the center of the field, with two violins depicted on either side. The background field includes a harp, a bassoon, and a horn.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
