Customers: Please note that these coins will be certified by the PCGS OR NGC to be in MS62 condition. Coins will be from years of our choice, all of which will range from 1908 to 1929.

The United States Mint first released the $2.50 Indian Gold Quarter Eagle in 1908. It enjoyed over two decades of circulation until 1929 when the value and circulation of gold currency declined due to World War I. Each individual Quarter Eagle has a gold content of .12094 oz, measures 18 mm in diameter and is available in MS62 condition.

All gold Quarter Eagles included in this collection have been designated an MS62 (Mint State 62) grade by either the NGC or the PCGS. Despite evident wear from contact marks and small hairline scratches, MS62 graded coins are still considered to be in acceptable condition. As a protective measure, each Quarter Eagle has been kept sealed in its NGC or PCGS slab.

One of the distinguishing characteristics of the Indian Gold Quarter Eagle is its recessed design. In contrast with most coins, which have raised images, this unique piece of currency possesses “sunken” images which have been carved into the coin itself. This method was used to achieve a sense of depth in the artwork. As the last US piece of currency to be minted with a recessed design, the Indian Gold Quarter Eagle has become a highly valuable coin among collectors and investors alike.

The artwork featured on the Indian Gold Quarter Eagle serves as a reflection of early American life. On the obverse of the coin is the profile of a Native American warrior garbed in his traditional feathered headdress. Framing this noble warrior is by a series of thirteen stars, each in honor of one of the original colonies. Also included in this border is the word “Liberty” along with the coin’s mintage year.

Depicted on the reverse side o the coin is our national bird, the bald eagle. It appears stealthily perched on top of a set of arrows bound by an olive branch. Surrounding the bird is a ring of text which bears our nation’s name accompanied by the coin’s denomination. Printed on the left and right of the eagle are the phrases, “E Pluribus Unum” and “In God We Trust” respectively.

The $2.50 Indian Gold Quarter Eagle is a historically significant piece of currency that is certain to impress generations to come. For more information about this item, please give us a call at 888-989-7223. You can also reach us through live chat or email.

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
