The Sun Stone is a historic artifact originally built by the Aztecs around 1500 AD. Historians marvel at the stone disc’s intricate and highly ambitious design that attempts to capture the essential components of Aztec cosmology. This incredible design is now replicated on these impressive silver stackers that are perfect for collectors and history enthusiasts alike. Currently, 2 oz Silver Aztec Sun Stone Stackers are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Stacker Highlights:

  • Arrives in a custom plastic capsule!
  • All-new Aztec Sun Stone stacker!
  • Antique finish.
  • Consists of Two Troy ounces of .999 fine silver.
  • The replica Sun Stone design appears on both sides of the stacker.
  • Stackable silver product.

When you order these 2 oz Aztec Sun Stone Stackers, you will receive a genuine .999 fine silver piece in brand-new condition. If you purchase multiple stackers, you may wish to set them one on top of the other and admire how they click perfectly into place. However, if you do not wish to handle these stackers, each one includes a custom capsule for storage and protection.

Because these pieces are stackable, the obverse and reverse feature the same design. The obverse is domed, while the reverse is concaved to allow one piece to sit neatly on top of another. Along the outer edge, there are various ornate Aztec decorations, which lead to arrows pointing in the four cardinal directions.

The inner portion of the design consists of a ring bearing signs from the Aztec solar calendar. Within this ring, there are four blocks, which represent the previous four eras of Aztec cosmology. According to this tradition, each era is eventually destroyed by a deity and then replaced by a new era, or sun. Within the very center of the design, there is the face of Tonatiuh, one of the Aztec solar deities.

The original Aztec Sun Stone has a diameter of 3.58 meters, a thickness of 98 centimeters, and a weight of 25 tons. While the stone currently resides on a wall in National Anthropology Museum in Mexico City, during the Aztec’s time it would have been set on the ground and possibly used for blood sacrifices. Upon discovery, the stone was lying upside down, which could indicate the Aztec people were trying to prevent the fall of the Fifth Sun and the destruction of their people.

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
