One of the scarcest circulation gold coins from Europe to survive into the 21st century is the Gold 20 Kronor Sweden Coin. Introduced by the Swedish Royal Mint in 1877, the Gold 20 Kronor Coins were available until 1902 and covered most of the reign of King Oscar II of Sweden and Norway. Right now, Gold 20 Kronor Sweden Coins are available to purchase online at Silver.com in Extremely Fine or better condition.

Coin Highlights:

  • Ships to you in individual plastic flips!
  • Struck from 1877 to 1902!
  • Offered here in Extremely Fine+ condition!
  • Consists of .2593 Troy ounce of actual gold content.
  • Bears a face value of 20 Kronor backed by the government of Sweden.
  • On the obverse is a portrait of King Oscar II.
  • The reverse includes the Greater Coat of Arms of Sweden.
  • Please keep in mind that you may get coins with the same dates and obverse designs or varying dates/designs when buying more than one.

Each Gold 20 Kronor Sweden Coin available here is in Extremely Fine-plus condition. Coins in this condition showcase only light wear on the highest relief points of the design elements of the coin. You will also notice traces of the original mint luster still present. Each coin comes with a protective plastic flip.

Silver.com guarantees you’ll receive a Gold 20 Kronor Coin in XF+ condition. However, we cannot guarantee the date mark on the coin or the specific obverse design. If you buy more than one coin, you could receive several matching coins or a variety of different date/design combinations.

Gold 20 Kronor Sweden Coins were introduced in 1877 by the Royal Swedish Mint in the sixth year of King Oscar II’s reign. From 1877 until 1899, a portrait of a young Oscar II featured on the obverse of the coins. From 1900 until 1902, when the series ended, a portrait of a mature King Oscar II was found on the coins.

On the obverse of Gold 20 Kronor Sweden Coins is a portrait of King Oscar II. The portrait of Oscar II is set in right-profile relief on the obverse of the Gold 20 Kronors. King Oscar II was the King of Sweden and Norway, reigning as King of Sweden from 1872 until his death in 1907 and as King of Norway from 1872 to 1905.

The reverse side of Gold 20 Kronor Sweden Coins features the Greater Coat of Arms of Sweden. The most elaborate and regal version of the seal, the coat of arms centers on a quartered shield with the Swedish three crowns in quadrants one and four, and the crowned, rampant Swedish lion in the second and third quadrants. The shield is supported by lions on either side with a crown at the top and a ribbon draped over the top.

We take data security very seriously. When you place an order with silver.com, your information is transmitted with the utmost SSL (secure socket layers) 256-bit protection. We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

In addition, all VISA and MasterCard orders undergo an additional step of user authentication - the respective Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode programs. Upon completing checkout with a VISA or MasterCard credit/debit card, you may be promoted for additional details to confirm your identity and protect our customers against credit card fraud.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required to collect sales tax in certain states. You can review your states sales tax policy here: https://www.silver.com/taxes. You should always consult with a tax adviser for specific advice in your area.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
