The 2000-W 1/10 oz Proof Gold American Eagle Coin was struck using 22-karat gold. This bullion product was made with three different metals, creating the perfect combination of 91.67% gold, 3% silver, and 5.33% copper. This coin also comes with a special proof finish, which means that the background of the obverse and reverse are mirrored while the designs themselves are frosted. When you order from Silver.com, your purchase will arrive in its own presentation box with an official Certificate of Authenticity.

The American Eagle Gold Coin series was first pushed out onto the bullion market in 1987, but it wasn’t until the year 1988 that the fractional-weight coin of 1/10 oz joined the collection. These coins were originally being produced by the Philadelphia Mint, but in 1994, production of all coins moved permanently to the West Point Mint so that each weight denomination—1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4 oz—could be produced in one place. This coin has a “W” mint marking on it to indicate that it was manufactured by West Point.

On the obverse of the 2000-W 1/10 oz Proof Gold Eagle Coin is the image of Lady Liberty. This design was inspired by the Double Eagle imagery created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, which is known for being featured on twenty-dollar gold pieces in the United States from 1907 to 1933. This coin’s obverse shows Lady Liberty striding forward with radiance, her hair blowing back in the wind behind her. She holds a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other.

On the reverse of the 2000-W 1/10 oz Proof Gold American Eagle Coin is an eagle family, a design originally created by Miley Busiek, a renowned sculptor. In this design, the viewer will see a male eagle flying overhead toward the nest, where the female eagle and hatchlings wait for him. The male eagle also carries an olive branch in its talons.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
