The obverse side of this 2006 burnished American Eagle silver dollar features the iconic image of Walking Liberty. She’s holding an olive branch and marching quickly across a landscape that includes a rising sun in the background. The details are stunning, and you can see how her clothing moves in the breeze of her brisk, purposeful movement. The design comes from Adolph A. Weinman’s work for the 50-cent pieces minted in the first half of the 20th century.

On the reverse of this collectible Silver Eagle dollar coin, you’ll find an eagle in heraldic position. Over its chest is a shield and above its head are 13 stars depicting the original 13 colonies of the United States. In traditional fashion, the eagle, which has its wings spread ready for flight, is holding both arrows and an olive branch in its talons.

This gorgeous coin is made safer with its packaging in a PCGS protective slab. These Mint State 69 coins have full, original mint luser with a maximum of two minor flaws. Those flaws must be outside the primary focal points of the coin and cannot exceed minuscule contact marks or hairlines.

The history of the American Eagle silver coins dates back to 1986 when they were established as an official silver bullion. The 2006-W 1 oz burnished American Eagle silver coin was minted on the 20th anniversary of the first bullion minting and included an uncirculated collector’s edition. Each year following 2006, except for 2009 and 2010, collector’s editions of the coin were minted.
