Gold American Eagles are available to investors each year in the Brilliant Uncirculated series. The coins are struck in this range each year to meet the demand of investors, with no mintage caps ever applied to the coins of the BU Series. The result is wild swings in the mintage of the coins each year. Now, 2010 1/10 oz Gold American Eagles are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ship to you in protective plastic flips!
  • 25th year of availability in the 1/10 oz Gold American Eagle Series!
  • Mintage limited to 435,000 coins only!
  • Consists of One-Tenth Troy ounce of actual gold content.
  • Issued a face value of $5 (USD) by the United States.
  • The obverse depicts Lady Liberty.
  • On the reverse face is a family of American bald eagles.

The gold coins of the Gold American Eagle Series were, in 1986, the purest gold coins the United States Mint had issued in more than 150 years. Gold Eagles have 22-karat gold content that equates to 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver per coin. The last gold coins the mint issued were the Gold $20 Double Eagles in 1933, and the last gold coins with higher purity than the Gold Eagle were the coins of the US Eagle denomination issued in 1833.

1/10 oz Gold American Eagles represent one of the best-selling weights in the Gold Eagle Series. The 1/10 oz Gold Eagles have finished with the highest mintage each year in a total of 13 different years. The longest run of dominance for the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle has come recently, with the highest mintage annually as of 2014.

The obverse side of 2010 1/10 oz Gold American Eagle Coins features the iconic image of Lady Liberty. This front-facing relief shows Liberty with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The design element includes a ring of 50 stars around the design element, sun rays at her back, and the U.S. Capitol Building at her feet.

On the reverse field of the 2010 Gold Eagle Coin is a depiction of American bald eagles. This design captures a family unit with a female eagle watching over hatchlings in the nest as a male eagle soars overhead.

These 2010 1/10 oz Gold American Eagles are available to you with protective plastic flips. The mintage of 435,000 coins in 2010 was higher than any date mark from 2001 to 2009 and would not be surpassed until 2013.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
