The “America the Beautiful” series has been designed by the United States Mint to celebrate America’s most unique places—its landmarks and national parks. Initiated in 2010, the series was originally scheduled to run through 2021; however, due to its monumental popularity, it is likely that the series will be expanded. Thus far, the series will feature each U.S. state and territory with a coin. Each of these coins are struck in five troy ounces of .999 pure silver.

Coin Highlights:

  • Third release of 2012 and 13th overall in the America the Beautiful Silver series.
  • Ships in individual plastic capsules, tubes of 10, or Monster Boxes of 100.
  • Consists of five troy ounces of .999 fine silver.
  • Face value of $.25 (USD) is fully backed by the US government.
  • Represents the state of Main in the ATB coin series.
  • Celebrates Acadia National Park.
  • Available for purchase in bullion or proof.

Each 2012 5 oz ATB Acadia Silver Coin showcases Maine’s stunning Acadia National Park. This park is famed for its rugged coasts and Atlantic views. Also known for its islands, woodlands, and pristine lakes, the park is certainly one of America’s most enchanting places. Customers will note the lighthouse featured on the coin along with a forested coast. The obverse side shows George Washington just as he appears on the U.S. quarter. The phrase “E Pluribus Unum,” the name of the state, and the year of issue are also featured on each coin.

All coins from the ATB series will ship discreetly, packaged with security in mind. Note that orders containing 10 coins are shipped in their original US Mint sealed plastic tubes. All lesser quantities are packaged in either a coin flip or plastic bag.
