The 2013 Enhanced Finish Silver American Eagle in this product listing comes from a set that was initially released with two coins in total. The 2013 American Eagle West Point Mint Two-Coin Set featured a 1 oz Reverse Proof Silver Eagle and this 1 oz Enhanced Finish Silver Eagle. The set was limited to 281,310 in all.
While this particular coin is a Burnished Silver American Eagle, it is visually distinct when compared to the traditional burnished version of the Silver Eagle. In particular, the US Mint took great care in producing something entirely unique by using various finishes in alternating spots on the coin. The design elements and fields include heavy frost, light frost, and brilliant polish for stunning contrast.
The obverse of the 2013-W 1 oz Enhanced Finish Silver American Eagle features a depiction of Walking Liberty. This design comes from 1916 and was created by Adolph A. Weinman for the US Mint to consider in replacing some of the Barber Coinage designs. Eventually chosen for the US Half Dollar, it depicts Liberty in left-profile relief walking toward the sun on the horizon.
On the reverse side of 2013 Enhanced Finish Silver Eagles, you will find an image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. The design depicts the bald eagle with the US national shield, the arrows of war, the olive branch of peace, and a cluster of 13 stars over its head.
These 2013-W 1 oz Enhanced Finish Silver American Eagles have near-perfect certifications from the PCGS or NGC. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster with no more than two minor detracting flaws. Acceptable flaws at this level include minuscule contact marks or hairlines that must be outside of the coin’s primary focal points. It is possible for these coins to come with additional labels.
Silver.com selects these coins at random after your payment has cleared. We cannot guarantee the presence of additional labels with any particular coin in advance. Similarly, it is possible you could receive multiple coins with the same labels or no labels when buying more than one.
