The Mickey Through the Ages Collection from the New Zealand Mint captures iconic depictions of Mickey Mouse from some of the earliest animated shorts and cartoon films from Walt Disney Productions. Mickey’s Delayed Date was released on October 3, 1947, and is notable as representing the final film in which Walt Disney personally voiced the character he created: Mickey Mouse.

All 2017 1/4 oz Proof Gold Niue Mickey Mouse Mickey’s Delayed Date Series Coins are individually housed and shipped in themed packaging. The coins are housed inside of inner wooden cases and come with a colorized, themed shipper that depicts Mickey Mouse from the 1947 animated classic. Each coin also comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity from the New Zealand Mint.

On the obverse of the 2017 Proof Gold Niue Mickey Mouse Mickey’s Delayed Date Series coin is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This right-profile bust is the fourth-generation portrait of Her Majesty to feature on British, Australian, and Commonwealth coins. It was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley for the Royal Mint of England and remains popular on other Commonwealth coin programs.

The reverse of 2017 1/4 oz Proof Gold Niue Mickey Mouse Mickey’s Delayed Date Coins is the image of Mickey Mouse in a tattered tuxedo as he races to make his date with Minnie Mouse. In the animated film, viewers first encounter an exhausted Mickey Mouse sleeping on the couch as his phone rings off the hook. When he answers it he is greeted by the angry voice of Minnie Mouse wondering why he hasn’t made their date.

The remainder of the short follows Mickey as he gets dressed in his tuxedo for the party the two are set to attend. As he races to meet her, Mickey not only loses their tickets, but his tuxedo is trashed by the water of a passing car. Fortunately, his trusted dog Pluto was following him and retrieved the tickets. Even better, the party the two are attending is a “hard-times” costume party.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. When do I lock in my price?
