Known in the Bible as the Magi, the Three Wise Men who visited Jesus Christ on the night of his birth were also referenced at times in the text as Three Kings. According to the Gospel of Matthew, and greater Christian tradition, the Three Wise Men were distinguished foreigners who visited Jesus just after his birth.
Coming from the east, these men followed the Star of Bethlehem to the birthplace of Christ. They brought with them gifts of frankincense, myrrh, and gold to worship the birth of the “king of the Jews.” You can celebrate Christmas in your own right with the new 2017 1 oz Silver Niue 3 Wise Men – Gift of Gold Coin from Coin Jewels.
Included in this coin release is a beautiful black display box for your coin, which protects and displays your coin for years to come. The coin includes a Certificate of Authenticity, and each has an inner capsule with a 24-karat gold flake to reflect one of the three gifts from the Wise Men to Jesus.
On the reverse of all 2017 1 oz Silver Niue 3 Wise Men – Gift of Gold Coins you’ll find the image of all three Wise Men following the Star of Bethlehem to the manger where the baby Jesus lay. You can see an engraving of “Gift of Gold” above and the Star of Bethlehem sitting in the night’s sky to the upper-left.
The obverse of all coins has the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty’s figure appears on all commonwealth coinage, with this design considered the fourth-generation depiction of the Queen created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley. Both sides have the 24-karat gold flake visible through Coin Jewels’ patented capsule technology.
