The Siberian tiger was once a widespread species of large predatory cat that roamed regions from Far Eastern Russia and northeastern China to the far southern tip of the Korean peninsula in what is now the Republic of Korea. Gold South Korean Tiger Medals are available for the third year from Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation. KOMSCO now offers three major bullion programs that consist of both silver and gold for sale. The series of medals started with the Chiwoo Cheonwang medals in 2016 and the Gold South Korean Tiger debuted later in the same year. Other recent additions include the Zi:Sin Series and a new Silver South Korean Tiger Medal as well.

Al 2018 1/4 oz Gold South Korean Tiger Medals are available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The gold medals in this listing are housed individually inside of protective plastic capsules that are set within commemorative black boxes from KOMSCO. Each medal also comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

On the obverse of 2018 Gold South Korean Tiger Medals is the image of a powerful Siberian tiger stalking its prey along a line of bamboo. Engravings on this side of the medal include “1/4 oz,” “2018,” and “Korean tiger.”

The Korean tiger is a locally used name for the Siberian tiger. Previously the largest species of tiger currently living, the Siberian tiger was last spotted on the Korean peninsula in 1922. The last known living specimen in the region was killed near Mount Daeduk in 1922 and no Siberian tigers have been spotted in the wild since then across the peninsula.

For the reverse of 2018 1/4 oz Gold South Korean Tiger Medals, KOMSCO uses a beautiful, artistic rendition of the Korean peninsula. With no borders between North and South, the design uses the letters of the Korean alphabet to shape the peninsula and the medal also features a latent security mark to the right of the design and the national symbol for the Republic of Korea to the left.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Upon completing checkout with a VISA or MasterCard credit/debit card, you may be promoted for additional details to confirm your identity and protect our customers against credit card fraud.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required to collect sales tax in certain states. You can review your states sales tax policy here: https://www.silver.com/taxes. You should always consult with a tax adviser for specific advice in your area.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
