The high-relief coin itself is housed in a wooden holder inside of the cases interior.

Beginning in 2002, the Mexican Mint offered a unique 1 Kilo Silver Libertad. The bullion version of the Silver Libertad coin also has a 1 Kilo silver option, but it was issued first in 2008 and has been available each year since with the exception of 2013 and 2014. These 2018 1 Kilo Silver Mexican Libertad Coins are high-relief specimens with a proof-like finish.

The proof-like finish of these coins means they are bullion coins that deliver visual brilliance similar to a proof coin, with frosted design elements and mirrored background fields. Starting in 2017, the Mexican Mint struck these 1 Kilo Silver Libertads as a high-relief specimen with greater depth of design as a result.

On the obverse of the 2018 1 Kilo Silver Mexican Libertad Coin is the design of Winged Victory. Her effigy is a symbol of freedom and victory for Mexican people, and includes engravings of “1 Kg Plata Pura 2018 Ley .999.” You’ll also find the Mexican Mint’s “OM” mint mark on this side.

The reverse of 1 Kilo Silver Mexican Libertad proof-like coins includes the modern coat of arms in the center of the design field. Immediately surrounding it are the engravings of “Estados Unidos Mexicanos” and a wreath. Around the outer edge of the design field are 10 historic versions of the symbol previously used by the government of Mexico.
