All 2018 1 oz Gold Canadian Golden Eagle Coins are in BU condition. Coins in this condition show no signs of wear and tear on the surface areas, however, the specimens are not in perfect condition. There is the possibility for breaks in the luster, spotted surfaces, and contact marks as a result of the normal production process.

The Golden Eagle is the fifth species to feature in the Call of the Wild Series. Each of the coins has a common background element of radiating sound waves that depicts the actual “call of the wild” from each of these animals. Designs in the series come from Pierre LeDuc, a noted Canadian artist who has created various wildlife-themed designs for the Royal Canadian Mint.

On the obverse of all Gold Canadian Call of the Wild Coins is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This right-profile portrait is the fourth-generation design created for Canadian coinage, and it was completed in 2003 by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt.

The reverse of the 2018 1 oz Gold Canadian Golden Eagle Coin bears the image of the head of the Golden Eagle. The most widely distributed species of eagle, the Golden Eagle is still found in sizeable stretches of Eurasia, North America, and regions of North Africa.
