The reverse of the Proof Silver British Queen’s Beast Black Bull Coin includes the depiction of the official seal of King Edward IV. The first Yorkist King of England, Edward IV used the bull as his personal symbol and was one of many monarchs, both before and after his reign, to use the Black Bull in heraldic symbolism.
On this side of the coin is the Black Bull as it stands powerfully behind the royal arms of Edward IV and other kings. The shield is a combination of the Royal Arms from kings including Edward II who added the three golden lilies of France in two quadrants to Richard I who added the three golden lions in the other two quadrants.
2018 10 oz Proof Silver British Queen’s Beast Black Bull Coins feature the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. This fifth-generation portrait captures Her Majesty at age 89 in right-profile relief.
