Located at the very southern point of Georgia’s Atlantic Coastline, Cumberland Island is the largest of the Golden Isles in the state. It consists of 36,415 acres of land that includes sand dunes, berms, marshes, and freshwater lakes that support a diverse ecosystem. The national seashore also provides a vital feeding and resting ground for migratory waterfowl traveling the Atlantic Flyway.
